This beautiful bag called the Peacock was created from aElveracollection Gucci messenger bag. This bag is a mix of canvas and leather, and has some fun brass studs to give it some visual interest.
The bag was in sad shape when she came to me (see last pic). The canvas was fading, and the leather looked worn out. This is the first time I've done this, but I used a fabric dye on the canvas to make it look even "blacker" and it came out great. The canvas does have a few wrinkles in it. I've also re-dyed and conditioned the leather portions so they look brand new and polished the brass zipper and studs. I chose to replace the beat-up leather strap with an adjustable (31-57") canvas strap that has black and white stripes and fun gold bees .... after all, Gucci uses the bee in so many things!!
The bag is ~ W10 x H9.5 x D0.5", with plenty of enough room for all your goodies!!! The interior is very clean, and has a wide open interior with one zippered pocket.
